HD-PE polyethylene
A thermoplastic with a semi-crystalline structure that stands out for its high resistance to impact, torsion, and tension. It resists abrasion, chemical agents, and caustic solutions well. Its electrical properties are high and its mechanical properties exceptional. It has excellent sliding properties with materials such as aluminum, iron, copper, and other engineering plastics (self-lubricating). Its hardness and rigidity are lower than those of polypropylene.
Properties:
- Approved for food use
- Physiologically inert.
- High impact resistance.
- High resistance to chemical agents.
- Electrical insulator.
- Abrasion resistant.
- Light.
- Self-lubricating.
Applications:
Polyethylene is used in the manufacture of parts for the food industry, cutting and quartering bases, slaughterhouses, and sliding mechanisms. It is also used in applications in the chemical industry, tank construction, mechanical engineering equipment, packaging and packing plants, and storage, handling, and transportation of bulk materials. Polyethylene is also used in the textile, paper, and printing industries.
