Nylon cast

Thermoplastic with a semi-crystalline structure, high resistance to abrasion and impact. POLYAMIDE It has very good mechanical properties. Due to its low specific weight, it is commonly used as a replacement material for bronze, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. It can absorb up to 8% of water (by weight) in humid conditions or when immersed in water. This increases impact and vibration resistance, but can also cause dimensional changes.

Applications:

Sprockets, levers, worm gears, screws, friction bearings, valve seats, slide guides, gears, fuel tanks, pulleys, rollers, etc.

Properties:

• High degree of water absorption.
• Excellent sliding properties on POM and steel, except (PA with PA).
• High mechanical resistance even at very high temperatures.
• Complex mechanization.
• High resistance to abrasion and impact.
• High degree of elasticity.
• Good resistance to machine oils, carbon dioxide, but not to acids.

Advantages:

• Resistant to chemical agents, except concentrated acids.
• Easy machining.
• It withstands temperatures from 10 to 100 °C continuously.
• It has great mechanical strength and good resistance to fatigue and wear.
