Polyurethane
Characteristics:
Polyurethane (PU) is a highly versatile polymer with rubber-like elastic behavior. It has excellent mechanical strength, crush resistance, and tear resistance. It has high resilience. It has various hardness levels (70 to 95 Shore A). It performs well in applications such as moving parts. It is an engineering plastic with rubber-like properties. It offers very high performance in the construction of machine parts. It is resistant to oils, gasoline, and some acids.
Advantages:
- It has excellent adhesion to materials normally used in construction without the need for adhesives of any kind.
- It has a high resistance to water absorption.
- Very good dimensional stability between temperature ranges from -200 ºC to 100 ºC.
- Reinforces and protects the insulated surface.
- It hinders the growth of fungi and bacteria.
- It has very good resistance to attack by acids, alkalis, fresh and salt water, hydrocarbons, etc.
Applications:
Bearings and sleeves, wheels, cylinders, bushings, pads, conveyor belts, gaskets, packings, sprockets, seals, parts that meet your specifications, injection molded parts.
